At the beginning of Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s 6th year at Hogwarts, they
did not know that a new student would be joining them.

The
girl walked onto platform 9 ¾, and looked around. She had never been to the Hogwarts express before, although she was 16,
and a fairly talented witch. Not being allowed to go to a public wizarding school, the girl was trained in a special facility
all by herself. But this year was different.
She
moved through the crowd, swift and graceful, not bumping into anyone. This was easy, for she was a skinny and small human.
With dark brown hair, one look, and you would think it was black. Long and elegant her hair was, tied into a low ponytail
and hanging over one shoulder. Her skin, very pail, but at the same time, looked as if it were made of silk.
As
she bundled onto the Hogwarts Express, she looked down the corridor. Hundreds of kids, her age or younger, choosing compartments,
and finding their friends. This girl did not know where to sit, so she found a small empty compartment near the middle of
the train.
Her
name was Tiffany Snape.
* *
*
Tiffany
watched the kids pass by her compartment, looking in hers, but not wanting to sit by her. She saw a blond haired boy walked
by with two thugs. No eye contact was made. A little later, Tiffany saw a dark haired boy, a brown haired girl, and a red
haired boy, walk past. The three looked in, but kept on walking.
‘I
bet they are the popular ones.’ Tiffany thought. She knew that she would never fit in. The only person she knew at Hogwarts
was Severus Snape, her uncle.
For
about an hour Tiffany sat alone, until someone finally came into her compartment. It was the red haired boy she saw walk by
earlier.
“Hello,
I’m Ron Weasley, Head Boy of Gryffindor. And you are?” Ron sat down, he just had to know who this girl was.
“I’m
Tiffany. This is my first time to Hogwarts.” Not wanting to say her last name, for she didn’t know how he would
react to the word Snape. Tiffany stuck out her hand. And Ron shook it. She liked this, Ron Weasley, boy.
“Well,
me and my friends are sitting in the next compartment. We’d be happy for you to join us.” Ron said, standing back
up.
“I
think I’ll stay here, but thanks for the offer.” She said. Tiffany really wanted to go with Ron, but did not feel
like talking with his friends. Ron left and shut the door behind him.

Finally
after the train ride was over, Tiffany had changed into her robes and stood up. She gathered her luggage and walked out into
the corridor. Not watching where she was going, Tiffany walked straight into a blonde haired boy. She tripped over her trunk
and fell right on the floor.
“Try
to be a little more careful next time.” The boy called. Tiffany stood up, fixing her robes. She and the boy looked at
each other for what seemed like an eternity.
“Malfoy,
Draco Malfoy. Have we met before?” Malfoy said to Tiffany.
“Tiffany.
I’m new to Hogwarts. No, I don’t recall you.” Still not saying her last name, she finally started heading
off the train.
After
meeting Ron and Draco, Tiffany thought she might actually make friends. She fallowed the crowd and realized she needed to
get into one of the carriages.
Not
knowing who was inside, she just picked one, and climbed in. Thankfully, she saw Ron Weasley.
“Why,
hello again, Tiffany!” Ron said, with a toothy smile. Tiffany returned with an even bigger one.
“You
know her, Ron?” Said the girl with frizzy brown hair. “I’m Hermione Granger, and this is Harry Potter. So
your name is… Tiffany? ” Hermione asked.
“Yes,
I’m new to Hogwarts.” Tiffany said. She sat down next to a boy she did not know. “What’s your name?”
she asked the boy.
“N-
Neville. My name is Neville L- Longbottom.” He said with a stutter.
“Nice
to meat you, Neville.” Tiffany said.
The ride up to the school was a quiet one. Tiffany didn’t feel like talking, and she
was happy no one talked to her.
“Well,
here we are!” the boy named Harry Potter exclaimed. “I guess you’ll need to be sorted into your house, Tiffany.
Just follow the first years.”
“OK,
thank you, Harry.” Tiffany said, and jumped out of the horse-less carriage.
“Firs’
Years over here! Firs’ Years come with me!” the largest man Tiffany had ever seen in her life, stood there before
her.
“I’m
not a first year, but I am new. Harry Potter said I should hallow you.” Tiffany said, not sure of what the giant man
would say.
“Hello!
I’m Hagrid! Hogwarts Game-Keeper. Yea, ‘Arry is righ’, you should follow me. You need to be sorted, righ’?”
Hagrid rumbled.
“Yes,
I do.” Tiffany said, happy that Hagrid was friendly.
“Well
then, fallow me now.”
* *
*
After
the boat ride, (which she thought was spectacular), Tiffany entered Hogwarts with the First Years. When they waited on Professor
McGonagall, she summoned them into the Great Hall. It was the most fantastic room she had ever seen. The ceiling was like
the night sky, and there were candles floating in mid-air.
Everyone
was staring at her, as she looked around. This was probably because she was about a half a foot taller than all the First
Years.
“I will place the Sorting Hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your
house.” Professor McGonagall said.
“Cladence,
Bobby!”… “GRYFFINDOR” clapping.
Tiffany
looked up at the Staff Table. She saw her uncle! She made a small wave at him, but he only gave her a disgusted face, and
looked away. This made Tiffany’s heart drop. The only person at Hogwarts she knew did not want her to be there.
“Racket,
Michelle!” McGonagall called. “HUFFLEPUFF!” at that, one of the four tables burst into clapping.
“I
would like to welcome a new student to Hogwarts. She will be placed into the sixth year, for she is 16 years old.” The
Great Hall went quiet. Tiffany noticed her uncle paying close attention.
‘He
probably wants me in Slytherin.’ Tiffany thought. ‘Well, this is it. Everyone will know my true identity…’
“Snape,
Tiffany!” Everyone’s heart in the Great Hall stopped. Looks of horror on their faces, Tiffany thinks one girl
fainted at her table. Her uncle, with his hand on his forehead, trying to cover humiliation.
* *
*
“GRYFFINDOR!” the Sorting Hat called. There was
no applause, not even from her own house. Tiffany looked over at Ron, she saw a look of terror on his face. She looked over
at Malfoy, at least he was happy.
Tiffany
heard someone from the Staff Table jump up, their chair flying backwards. Then she heard a door open, then slam shut again.
‘Three
guesses who that could be.’ Tiffany said to herself.
Slowly
but surely, she made her way down to the table called Gryffindor. There was a huge gap at the end of the table, obviously
made for her. Tiffany sat down and looked at her classmates, all with looks of disgust and disparagement.
After
nibbling on the huge feast that appeared in front of her, Tiffany made her way up to the Gryffindor tower along with the rest
of her group. She tried to catch up with Ron, but he hurried ahead with Hermione and Harry.
She
entered the common room but went straight to the girl’s dormitory to find a bed. Tiffany picked one out and laid on
it, putting her hands behind her head.
“Hello…”
She heard a breathless voice next to her bed.
Tiffany
jumped, “Sorry, I didn’t know anyone was there.” She said looking at the girl. “Come here to taunt
me?”
“No
I didn’t. I just came to see how you were doing. You look really pale.” The young girl said.
“Look,
I don’t know who you are, but just please, leave me alone.” Tiffany said, turning over on her side.
“My
name is Ginny Weasley. You might know by brother, Ron?” Ginny said, unsure of her introduction.
“Yes,
I’ve met Ron. But now he probably thinks I’m just like my uncle.” Tiffany said. Her eyes swelling with tears.
“Look,
I don’t care if you’re related to the Malfoys. I just wanted to tell you, if you need anything just ask me.”
Ginny said, and left to go to the common room.
“Thank
you…” Tiffany said, but Ginny had already gone.
* *
*
“Come
here, Tiffany.” Severus said. “I need you in my office.”
His voice was cool and evil.
“But
I don’t want to. I want to meet up with Ron Weasley.” Tiffany exclaimed.
“COME
HERE NOW!” Her uncle grabbed her by the arm and threw her into his office. “Now you listen to me. I don’t
want you to talk to anyone, look at anyone, or breathe the same air as anyone else. You need to be alone at all times. I never
wanted you here in the first place. That stupid half brother of mine was an idiot for letting you come here. I don’t
want to hear a word out of you! NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!” he yelled, and shoved her out of his office.
Tiffany
was lying on the cold floor, she could not move her leg. “UNCLE! Help me uncle! I think I’ve broken my leg! UNCLE!”
She screamed.
“I
said I didn’t want to hear another word from you!!!” He yelled. “AVADA KEDAV--”
Tiffany
bolted upright in her bed.
‘It
was just a dream, Tiff. Uncle Snape wouldn’t do that…’ She thought, trying to calm herself.
* *
*
Tiffany noticed it was still dark outside. She climbed out of
bed and put on a light robe. She started into the common room but stopped, because she heard voices. Tiffany listened as hard
as she could. It was Ron.
“I
just don’t know how she could be related to Snape! A beautiful girl like that… wow!” he said.
“She’s
rather nice, I talked to her earlier. She says that she thinks Ron will think she is exactly like Snape. I don’t think
she is.” Came Ginny’s voice. “Ron, I think she likes you.”
A
loud snort came, fallowed by Hermione, “If that girl likes Ron, I’ll go on a date with Draco!” she said
sarcasticly.
“You
guys, maybe she isn’t that bad. Remember, she was really friendly in the carriage! Just because Tiffany is related to
Snape, doesn’t mean she is like him.” Tiffany recognized Harry Potter.
She
inched closer to the top of the stairs to hear them better.
“Croockshanks,
come back!” Hermione pleaded for her cat. But he jumped off her lap and started across the floor.
Tiffany
didn’t notice that the cat came up the stairs until it was licking her arm.
She
made a soft, ‘Oh!’ and pushed Croockshanks away.
‘No!
Cat, go away! I’m allergic!’ She thought.
“ACHOO!
AH-AH- ACHOO, ACHOO!” Now she had done it. Not only will they hate her for being related to Snape, but now they will
hate her for spying on them!
“What
was that…” Ron asked, frightened.
“Erm…
Hi. I, uh, couldn’t sleep.” Said Tiffany, coming out from her hiding place and walking down the stairs.
“Were
you listening in on us?” Hermione asked annoyingly.
“Well,
I did hear some things, but… it’s no big deal.” Said Tiffany, sitting down on the floor by the fire.
“I’m
going to bed. Ginny, let’s go.” Hermione stated. Ginny got up and bid them goodnight.
“I should probably get to bed too. It’s now…” Harry looked at his watch, “1:32. Goodnight Ron, Tiffany.” He
got up and left.
Now
it was just Ron and Tiffany left in the common room.
“I
heard what you said… about me. It was really sweet of you to say that.” Tiffany told Ron.
His
ears went beat red. Ron realized he had called Tiffany beautiful. “Oh… no problem. It’s true, though…”
He used all his might to say that.
“Thank
you.” And with that, Tiffany pulled her long dark hair out of her face, and kissed Ron lightly on the cheek.

The fallowing week went OK for Tiffany.
People started accepting the fact that she was Snapes’ Niece. She also ran into Draco a couple times.
“Hey
there,” Draco spotted Tiffany in the corridor. “I need to talk to you.”
“OK?
What about?” Tiffany asked, “I have to go to Herbology.”
“About
Professor Snape.”
“Oh…”
Her heart sank.
“Is
he your uncle?”
“Yes,
he is. But I don’t think he wants me here. You know?”
“I
just think he’s upset that you aren’t in Slytherin! Did you see how he stormed out of the Great Hall that night?
Wow.”
“Yes,
yes I guessed that was him. He is the only person I am close to at Hogwarts. I can’t believe the way he is acting.”
Tiffany looked at her feet.
“I
don’t want him to be the only one close to you. Maybe I can change that.” Draco said with a smirk on his face.
Tiffany
looked up into Draco’s grey eyes.
“Think
about it. Goodbye Tiffany.”
“Good…”
she started, “bye.” But Draco was gone.
-Later in Herbology-
“Oi!
Tiffany! Over here!” Ron shouted as Tiffany entered Greenhouse 4. Ron shoved Hermione Over one seat to make room for
her.
“Ron!
Don’t be such a…” Hermione started, but Ron cut her off.
“Tiffany!
Hermione wants you to sit by her!” He said, Hermione gave Ron the evil eye. Harry laughed.
“Well,
that’s nice of you Hermione!” Said Tiffany, and sat down on the stool.

After
class, Ron caught up with Tiffany, who was walking with Ginny.
“If
you don’t mind, little sister, I’d like a word with Tiffany.” Ron placed himself right in between the two
girls, forcing Ginny to leave.
“You
love your sister, don’t you?” Tiffany laughed.
“You
can hardly imagine. Anyway… this weekend is our first trip to Hogsmead. Do you want to go with me? Us… I mean.”
Ron corrected himself, his ears turned red.
“Oh!
I would love-- but don’t I have to have a permission slip?” She asked.
“Right…”
Ron’s heart shot to his toes.
“I’ll
figure a way! Not to worry!” Tiffany said with a smile. She hugged Ron and gave him a quick peck on his shoulder, because
that’s all she could reach. Tiffany ran ahead, ready with a plan to go to Hogsmead.
Ron
stopped and sighed a dreamy sigh not knowing Hermione and Harry were behind him.
“In
love, are we?” Harry patted Ron on the back. “Nice choice.”
“I
think it’s disgusting!” Hermione objected.
“You
just don’t want me to date her because then you have to go on a date with Draco. You said so yourself!” Ron reminded
her.
Hermione
made a snort and held back to walk with Ginny.
Next
class was Potions, Tiffany was the first one in the room. She ment to talk to Professor Snape, but before she knew it, kids
were filling in their seats.
The
assignment was the Sleeping Potion. Snape wrote the ingredients on the black board with his wand. Tiffany was sitting at the
same table with Ron, writing down her notes, smiling up at him occasionally. Tiffany knew Draco was in the room, but she didn’t
care.
“I’ll
met up with you, I just have to talk to Professor Snape.” Tiffany said after class.
“Ok,
later!” Ron waved and left.
Tiffany
looked around for her uncle, but Draco cut her off.
“Hello
Draco!” she smiled
“Hi…
what is there between you and Weasley?” He asked, frusterated.
“Oh,
well, we are really good friends! Why?” Tiffany was confused.
“You
don’t know?!”
“Know
what? Draco, what?”
“I
LIKE YOU, Tiffany! I really do! Now just go prancing of with Weasley and live happily ever after!” Draco yelled and
went out of the room.
“DRACO!
Dra—Oh whatever…” She sighed.
“I
would prefer you to not disrupt my class with your love scenes, especially with students of my own house.” came a cool
voice.
“Oh!”
Tiffany turned around to see Snape, “Uncle! I’m sorry…”
“What
is it that you want, class is over now.”
“Right…
I was wondering if I could go to Hogsmead… with Ro—My friends. And since you are my uncle, I thought maybe you
could sign my permission form!” Tiffany smiled at him.
“I
am not responsible for your father and I will not be held responsible for pratty little girls.” He remarked, and headed
for his office.
“Uncle
Severus!” she started.
“It’s
Professor Snape to you, Miss Snape!” He corrected.
‘Wow,
that sounded ridiculous!’ he thought.
“Tiffany.” He corrected again, feeling embarrassed.
“Tell me why you won’t sign, UNCLE SEVERUS!”
she protested. “I’m your niece and that’s NEVER going to change! Why can’t you accept that fact!?”
Tiffany screamed, not caring that he was a professor.
“You will NOT yell at me! 20 points from Gryffindor! I
know you are my niece and I do accept the fact. But I am NOT responsible for you at Hogwarts. You have your father!”
Tiffany’s eyes swelled. She tried not to let the tears
escape, but they did.
* *
*
Severus felt ashamed that he made the only thing even close
to a child he will get, cry. He walked over to Tiffany, looking down at her helpless body.
‘She is so small’ he thought. ‘This is my
fault…’
Snape was so confused, he had never made a child cry, at least
not in front of him. He did not know what to do, for he did not have a child. Feelings of guilt and love swept through his
body. Snape realized that next class was about to start, so he helped Tiffany up and led her to his office.
“I’ll be right back, stay here.” He closed
the door. “Class! Settle down class. I have some business to take care of in my office, so write these notes down.”
He waved his wand at the black board and went back to his office.
The feelings came back to him when he saw Tiffany huddled in
a wooden chair. Her knees brought up to her chin, and her arms held tight around them.
“Um… I apologize, Tiffany.” He said, this
was hard for him. “I know how your father is…”
“I just don’t get you sometimes, Uncle! I mean,
every time I see you, you shut me out of your world! Do you know how hard it is to live with my father? Well of course you
don’t! You don’t know anything about him! Let alone, me! My dad says, ever since you started working here, you’ve
changed. And I didn’t want you to change! I liked the old Uncle Severus!” Tiffany started crying even harder.
“I know… I know.” He tried
“No, you DON’T know! You don’t KNOW me! Nothing
about me!”
“Tiffany, you are the only thing even close to a child
I’ve ever had. And… well, I love you.” He managed to say those last few words, but it was hard.
Tiffany looked up. “You mean that?”
“Of course I mean it!” he exclaimed.
“Then why didn’t you want me to come to Hogwarts?!”
“I just… I just didn’t want you to spend school
the way I did, especially with that Harry Potter. You’ve heard your father talk about Harry’s dad, James, and
all his little friends. I just didn’t want you to end up like me.” For once, Snape’s eyes started to swell
with tearsl.
Tiffany jumped out of her chair and hugged her uncle as tight
as she could. At first, Snape was surprised, but finally he hugged back.
“I’m sorry Tiffany. Of course I’ll sign the
permission form, and throw in those last 20 points to Gryffindor.”
* *
*
After about 10 minutes of pulling themselves together, Snape
got up and dabbed his eyes.
“I should probably get back to my class, and you to yours.
Where to? Transfiguration?” he asked.
“History of Magic”
“Let
me write you a pass.”
Tiffany walked out of his office. The 2nd years all looked up, really confused.
Tiffany realized they probably just heard their whole conversation. ‘What?!’ she mouthed, and they all got back
to their work.
Snape
came out of his office with two pieces of parchment, “There you go, a pass, and one permission form to Hogsmead.”
He whispered, and gave a little wink.
“Goodbye
Professor Snape.” She said
“It’s
Uncle Severus to you.” He replied.
With
that, Tiffany smiled and left the dungeon.
By the time Tiffany reached her History of Magic class, it was almost over. Everyone was wondering
where she had been all this time.
Tiffany handed her pass to her professor and took her seat next
to Ron. He gave her a questionable look, “Where you with Draco this whole time?!” he sounded panicked.
“No silly, my uncle. I’ll tell you later.”
-After class-
“…And
then he said he loved me, and gave me the permission form to Hogsmead!” Tiffany finished telling Harry, Ron, Hermione
and Neville her story of what just happened.
“Wow!
I never knew Snape could have feelings like that!” Harry exclaimed. “That’s a really great story!”
“I’m
just happy it’s all over with, and now you can go to Hogsmead!” Ron threw his fist in the air.
“T-
That’s one side of S- Snape I never want to s- see in my life!” Neville stuttered. They all laughed.
* *
*
“Come
on, Tiffany! We’re going to be late!” Ron yelled from outside the girls’ dormitory. “What is it with
girls and looking good?”
“I’m
coming! Wait please!” Came a faint voice.
When they left the castle, Mr. Filch was standing there, gathering permission slips.
“Weasley,
Ronald… ok you may pass.” He grumbled, “Snape, Tiffany? Well, I should expel you for stealing a name of
a professor, but you may pass.”
“Thank
you, sir!” She flashed Mr. Filch a toothy smile and went off with Ron.
‘Thank
you? What a nice girl…’ Filch thought.
“RON! Ron! Let’s go get some ice cream! Come on
Harry, Hermione, let’s go!” As Tiffany skipped down the stone path, she ran into none other than Draco.
“Oh! Sorry ‘bout that Draco! Lovely day isn--”
“Save it.” He said, picking himself up off the ground.
Tiffany felt awkward, “It’s been a long time since
we’ve talked. Is everything OK?”
“Could I speak with you a moment?” he asked, giving
Ron a nasty look.
“I suppose… Ron, guys, I’ll meet you up there.
What is it, Draco?”
The two of them went over to a bench in front of a store and
sat down.
“What is this about, Draco?” she asked again.
“I just wanted to know… if it was me”
“You, what?”
“Me or Weasley.”
“Oh… right. Well It’s kind of more convenient
that Ron is in my hou--” she started, but got cut off.
“I KNEW IT! Of course you didn’t like me, how could
I be so stupid?!” Draco stood up, hitting himself in the head.
“Draco! I do like you! It’s just--”
“It’s just you like Ron better? Save it.”
He turned his back to her.
“Draco, you listen to me, and you listen good. I like
you. You are my friend. Now, if I was in Slytherin, maybe there would be a chance of you and me. But I’m not, so there
isn’t.” she exclaimed, pointing her finger in Draco’s face.
A single tear streamed down his pale cheek. “Well now
that I know how you feel…” he told her, and sat back down on the bench
“Oh Draco, I’m sorry.” Tiffany said, and sat
next to him.
She put one arm around his shoulder, trying to comfort him.
Draco looked up, “I just have to know one more thing.”
“What’s that?” Tiffany asked
He leaned over to her, and kissed her on the lips.
“Did that mean anything to you?” he asked her, his
eyes still dripping.
“I’m sorry, Draco. I really am.”
But what she didn’t
know was that Ron, who had gone into the store just behind them, was watching.
* *
*
“What is it, Ron? You’ve been standing there for
nearly 5 minutes.” Said Harry, not noticing Tiffany and Draco. But when he did see them there Harry said, “I’m
sorry, mate.”
Ron walked over to the shop door, opened it, and walked outside.
He pretended not to see Tiffany, until she saw him.
“Ron! How about that ice crea--” she began, but
then saw his face. “Are you OK?”
“Yes, yes I’m fine. But I don’t know about
my pal Draco here, he looks a little sad. Maybe you should kiss him again!” he yelled and turned on his heel and ran.
“RON! Ron, no!” At that, Tiffany dropped to her
knees and cried.
Draco got up, and tried to help her.
“Get off of me, Draco! I think you’ve caused a lot
more trouble than needed today!” she screamed and ran after Ron.
Everything was a blur to Tiffany as she ran through the Hogwarts
students. People yelling for her to ‘Watch it!’ or ‘Get out of my way!’. She couldn’t find Ron
anywhere. Finally, at the end of the Hogwarts street, there he was. Ron was sitting on the ground, his hands over his face,
ears bright red.
“Ron… I--”
“You don’t have to explain. I saw you and Malfoy.
And you like him more than me.” He said, sobbing.
“Yes! I do have to explain! Malfoy wanted to know if it
meant anything! Guess what I told him!?” after not getting a guess, Tiffany answered her question for him, “I
said no!” Ron looked up, “It didn’t mean a thing! I turned down Draco for you, Ron.”
“Your not kidding, are you?”
“What do you think?”
“Good.” Ron stood up. “I can’t believe
I thought you liked Malfoy more than me! That’s crazy!” Tiffany laughed.
As they walked back down Hogsmead together, hand and hand, they
came across Draco again. He was still sitting on the same bench, eyes still watering.
“Draco, grow up!” Tiffany cooed.

After a long day at Hogsmead, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Tiffany
headed back up to Hogwarts. Harry figured he should tell Professor Lupin about the new student. He went to his trunk and pulled
out the mirror Sirius gave him, still broken.
“Reparo!” he yelled, and the mirror was fixed.
“Remus Lupin.” Harry called. He had to wait about
10 minutes for an answer, but finally Harry saw Lupin’s face.
“Harry! Is everything OK?” asked Lupin.
“Yeah! Everything is fine! I’m passing all of my
classes, Hermione’s reading less books, Ron’s got himself a girlfriend, which just happens to be Snapes’
niece, Ginny is--”
“WHAT?!” Lupin cried, “Snape has a niece?!
Ron’s girlfriend?! WHAT?!”
“Yep, that’s right. Her name is Tiffany Snape. Pretty
crazy, huh?”
“How can Ron be doing that?! It’s SNAPE’S
NIECE!!!”
“She’s really nice, not like Snape at all! Seriously!
And also… Snape and Tiff got into a fight, but it ended up in Snape telling her that he loved her! We never knew he
had it in him!” Harry started telling Lupin the whole story.
“Wow…
This is too much! Sirius and James would be blown away! Well tell Ron congrat--” Lupin cut off.
“WHAT ABOUT RON?!” Harry heard Mrs. Weasley in the
background, and started laughing. It seems she pulled the mirror out of Lupin’s hand.
“Harry dear, RON HAS A GIRLFRIEND? SNAPE? WHAT?”
She started panicking.
“Mrs. Weasley! It’s OK! Everything is fine.”
Harry tried to calm her.
“Ronny’s got himself a girlfriend? Who?” Harry
heard Fred and George.
“Tiffany Snape, Snapes’ niece.” Harry told
them.
“SNAPE’S NIECE?!?!?” they yelled.
“YES! SNAPES’ NIECE!” Harry told them, getting
a little agitated. “Ok Professor… I’ve got to go! Ron’s coming up.”
“Ok Harry! Thanks for the news. I’ll try to get
things settled in here! It’s not pretty!” Lupin called, and with that, his face faded away.
“Who was that?” Ron just entered the room.
“Lupin… just told him the good news.”
“YOU WHAT?!”

The start of Quidditch season started and ended so fast. Gryffindor
came in first, Hufflepuff second, Slytherin third, and Ravenclaw fourth. Tiffany had never seen a Quidditch match played before,
so she never missed a game.
“Now I understand why you like Quidditch so much, Harry!
It looks like wicked fun!” Tiffany exclaimed.
“You bet it is! Have you ever tried to play, Tiff?”
Harry asked.
“No… no space where I lived.”
“Oh, right then.”
Before they knew it, the date was October 3rd. The
whole school gathered into the Great Hall for a special announcement from Professor Dumbledore. Everyone was talking and guessing
what it was going to be about.
“May I have your attention, please?” McGonagall
called, loud and stern.
The Great Hall went silent.
“Thank you,” Dumbledore said, “It is my honor,
to welcome you all, to The Halloween Ball at the end of the month.” Giggling and whispering went on among girls. “Everyone
is invited, like I said. This is a formal gathering, so do not hold back on making yourself look glamorous.”
“A ball? I’ve never been to a ball! Hermione! We
have to buy dresses!” Tiffany started freaking out and coming up with ideas of how to look.
‘Oh, great…’ Hermione thought.
* *
*
The next Hogsmead weekend, Tiffany, Hermione, Ginny, Parvarti,
and Lavender went on a shopping spree. Looking in the windows for dresses and accessories. After Parvarti and Lavender found
what they wanted, they left.
“So who are you taking Hermione? What about you, Ginny?”
Tiffany asked, really excited.
“Taking? What do you mean?” Hermione didn’t
get it.
“I mean to the Halloween Ball, silly! I hope Ron will
ask me…”
“Tiff, you’re going to make me throw up!”
Ginny squealed.
“Ha-Ha very funny, Ginny. So? Hermione? Who’s it
going to be?” Tiffany asked, since she knew it wasn’t Harry.
Ginny spoke up when Hermione didn’t, “I’m
taking Bobby Cadence. I don’t care if he is a fist year, have you seen him? Really cute!”
“That’s great Ginny! Do you know who Harry is asking?”
Tiffany wondered.
“I think Cho.” Ginny answered.
“Cho? Who is that?”
“Cho Chang. Ravenclaw seeker. 7th year also.”
“Oh wow, a seventh year? Well, Harry does have the looks!”
Hermione threw Tiffany a dirty look behind her back.
“You still haven’t told me who you are asking, Hermione!”
“We’ll see…”

The night of the Halloween Ball arrived with a blink of an eye.
The girls were in the Dormitories for the whole day getting ready.
Hermione had a beautiful yellow dress with pink flowers sewn
in. And silver sequences for the lining. She pulled the top half of her hair back into a high ponytail, the rest she straightened,
flowing down her neck. With a little yellow flower tucked behind her ear, and a stunning necklace her parents bought for her.
Ginny wore a blue ensemble with dark blue gloves that came up
passed her elbows. She curled her hair and clipped it aside with a blue star hair pin.
Tiffany looked most radiant of all, a dark forest green dress
matched perfectly against her beautiful pale skin, also with gloves to her elbows. The skirt was long and skimming on her
perfect body. And pearl necklace that Uncle Severus had given her for her birthday, October 15th. Her long hair
pulled up tight off her head, to top it all off with a silver tiara.
The three girls made their entrance to the Common room like
they were queens. Ron and Bobby Cadence stood there in awe at the stunning young women they were to take to the ball.
“Well, we must get going. I need to met up with Cho.”
Harry said, prying his eyes off the three girls.
“R- Right Harry, right you are.” Ron said. “Neville,
who are you going with?”
“Luna, Luna Lovingood. Don’t laugh! She asked me!”
But the kids couldn’t kelp it, laughter broke out in the
Common Room.
“Hello Harry!” called Cho from across the Entrance
Hall. “It’s wonderful to see you again.”
“Hey, Cho. Shall we go in?” Harry stuck out his
arm, and Cho grabbed it as they walked into the Great Hall. Bobby and Ginny fallowed.
“Hermione, just tell us already! I know you didn’t
get all dressed up for no one! Who is the lucky guy?” Tiffany pleaded an answer, but got none.
“Come on, Tiff. Let’s go in!” Ron said. They
started to leave but then they heard a loud voice.
“Herm-own-ninny! Over ‘ere!”
“Viktor! You made it!”
* *
*
“You have GOT to be kidding me!” Ron said, turning
around to face Viktor Krum, a professional Quidditch player. They met two years ago during the Triwizard Tournament.
“HERMIONE! What is he doing here?!” Ron yelled.
“Well, since he has graduated from Durmstrang he’s
decided to come and visit me. And I figured this would be the perfect time!” Hermione answered, hugging Viktor.
“Who’s he?” Tiffany asked.
“Long story… I’ll tell you later. Come on
love birds, let’s go!”
The Great Hall was decorated superbly for Halloween. Jack-o-lanterns
everywhere and The Weird Sisters came to perform.
Everyone was dancing and having a great time, drinking punch
and eating snacks. Professor Dumbledore and McGonagall were doing the waltz and Professor Flitwick had to make himself levitate
so he could dance with Professor Sprout. Dumbledore grabbed the attention of the students.
“Thank you all, for coming to the Halloween Ball. I would
like to welcome back Mr. Viktor Krum, who just graduated from Durmstrang. Also, thanks to the Weird Sisters for coming once
again to perform at Hogwarts. Now if you would kindly play a slower song.” He asked the band, they nodded and a slow
beat started to begin.
Harry and Cho, Ginny and Bobby, Neville and Luna, and Hermione
and Viktor began dancing together.
“Would you like to dance?” Ron asked.
“I would…” Tiffany looked up at the only professor
left at the staff table, “But how about next song.” Ron nodded, he realized Tiffany was looking up at Professor
Snape.
“Hello, Uncle Severus.” She said with a smile, “Why
aren’t you dancing? It’s very fun.”
Snape chuckled, “You don’t know me well enough to
know that I do not dance?”
“Everyone can dance.”
“Well then… Tiffany, May I have this dance?”
“I’d be honored.”
With that, the two joined all the other students and professors
dancing. Ron was slightly disappointed, but knew how much this meant to Tiffany.
After that song was over, “Thank you Uncle Severus. I’ve
got to get back to Ron.” He cringed slightly at the fact she came here with a Weasley, but managed a smile in return.
The next song was still one to dance with a partner, so Tiffany
went over to Ron again.
“Sorry about that…” she said, feeling embarrassed.
“Don’t worry about it! Would you like to dance?”
“I would love to.”
Ron and Tiffany danced along with the others and everything
was grand. Until, out of no where, came a loud cry,
“CRUCIO!!!”
a boy’s voice shouted.
Before anyone could do anything, Ron was on the floor, his body
violently shaking and jerking around.
* *
*
“REDUCIO!!!
Came Dumbledore, loud and harsh.”
Ron lay there motionless.
“NO!” Tiffany dropped to her knees beside Ron. Harry,
Ginny, Hermione and Neville all gathered around him too.
“No body move!” They heard McGonagall yell.
Tiffany looked up, who would want to hurt Ron? Then she saw
him. The boy who attacked the one she loved. He had his wand out, breathing heavily.
“DRACO!” she screamed, “WHAT’S WRONG
WITH YOU?!”
“Mr. Malfoy, I suggest you wait in my office with Professor
Snape.” Dumbledore was very angry. Tiffany was crying over Ron’s body. “Miss Snape, Mr. Potter, Miss Granger,
and Miss Weasley… please join Madam Pomfrey in the Hospital Wing.”
As they all hurried off, Snape grabbed Draco by his ear, and
dragged him to Dumbledore’s office.
“Why wont he wake up?! Why wont Ron wake up?!” Tiffany
screamed, she was starting to get hysterical.
“I’m not sure Miss. Snape, but please calm down!
This is the Hospital Wing!” Madam Pomfrey answered.
“Tiff, Ron will be OK. I promise.” Harry tried to
calm her down, but it was no use.
“I suppose he was hit in the head, going directly to the
brain. Oh no, no, no… this is not good.” Madam Pomfrey said to herself, but Tiffany heard.
“WHAT IS NOT GOOD?! WHAT’S WRONG?!”
“Calm down Miss Snape!!!”
Ginny was crying in Hermione’s arms. “It’s
alright Ginny.”
“Potter, come here please.” Madam Pomfrey summand.
They went into her office, “Please go up to Professor
Dumbledore’s office and tell him… tell him we need to take Mr. Weasley to St. Mungos.”
Harry was terrified.
‘The only other time that someone he knew went to St.
Mungos Magical Maladies and Injuries, was Ron’s dad. This is not going to go well in the Weasley family.’ He remembered.
“Yes, Madam Pomfrey.”
* *
*
Harry hurried down the corridors to Dumbledore’s office.
‘Malfoy and Snape are in there!’ Harry remembered.
‘He’ll get to hear them talk.’
“I’m Harry Potter, sent for Albus Dumbledore from
Madam Pomfrey.” He told the picture next to the gargoyle.
“Ok, Chocolate Frog.”
The gargoyle sprung into life and started moving upwards. Harry
jumped onto the stairs as they went up to the office door. Harry was about to knock, but the door opened for him.
“Welcome, Harry.” Dumbledore said.
Malfoy and Snape both looked at him. Malfoy, close to tears;
and Snape looked very angry with Malfoy for what he had done.
“M- Madam Pomfrey sent me to tell you, Professor, that
we need to take Ron to St. Mungos.” Harry felt bad having to say that in front of them.
Snape, whose hand was on Malfoy’s shoulder, tightened,
and Malfoy cringed. “St. Mungos? Draco, do you have any idea what this means?!” Snape cried. “What on Earth
made you do this? WELL?”
“Tiffany….” Draco said, as soft as he could.
“What do you mean, Tiffany?!”
“It’s just… she ran off with Weasley.”
“That gives you no right to use an Unforgivable Curse
on a fellow student. I’m sorry Mr. Malfoy, but I have to suspend for the remainder of the semester. You will return
after Christmas Break.” Dumbledore said calmly.
Harry stood there, half in joy, half in astonishment. He hadn’t
realized that Malfoy DID use an Unforgivable Curse on his best friend.
“You will go straight to your House and pack your things.
A train leaves tonight.” Malfoy nodded at Dumbledore as Him and Snape left the office.
“Thank you, Harry, for the message. This is devastating
new for you and all the Weasleys. You, Miss Granger, Miss Weasley and Miss Snape are cleared from your semester exams. For
you will be in St. Mungos with Mr. Weasley. I will call the Weasley family and Remus Lupin about the news. As for young Malfoy,
he will be joining us in January.” Dumbledore opened the big wooden door, and Harry left.

* *
*
The next Hogsmead weekend, Tiffany, Hermione, Ginny, Parvarti,
and Lavender went on a shopping spree. Looking in the windows for dresses and accessories. After Parvarti and Lavender found
what they wanted, they left.
“So who are you taking Hermione? What about you, Ginny?”
Tiffany asked, really excited.
“Taking? What do you mean?” Hermione didn’t
get it.
“I mean to the Halloween Ball, silly! I hope Ron will
ask me…”
“Tiff, you’re going to make me throw up!”
Ginny squealed.
“Ha-Ha very funny, Ginny. So? Hermione? Who’s it
going to be?” Tiffany asked, since she knew it wasn’t Harry.
Ginny spoke up when Hermione didn’t, “I’m
taking Bobby Cadence. I don’t care if he is a fist year, have you seen him? Really cute!”
“That’s great Ginny! Do you know who Harry is asking?”
Tiffany wondered.
“I think Cho.” Ginny answered.
“Cho? Who is that?”
“Cho Chang. Ravenclaw seeker. 7th year also.”
“Oh wow, a seventh year? Well, Harry does have the looks!”
Hermione threw Tiffany a dirty look behind her back.

The next morning,
Harry, Hermione, Tiffany, and Ginny all left for the Burrow. This would be the first time for everyone else to meat Tiffany,
and she was really nervous. She didn’t know how everyone would act around her.
“Come here, Ginny.” Mrs. Weasley pulled Ginny into
a tight hug.
“Oh mummy, I was so scared!”
“I know you were, sweetheart.”
Lupin, Tonks, and Moody were there also. Lupin could not take
his eyes off Tiffany. ‘She can’t be related to Snape, it’s just impossible.’ He thought.
“Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, everyone… this is Tiffany
Snape.” Harry introduced her. “And she really cares about Ron.”
“Hello, Dear. I’m Ron’s mother.” She
said, but not enthusiastically.
“Good day, Mrs. Weasley. Your son is a great person…”
“Why, thank you.” George said.
Tiffany gave him a questionable look.
“I’m sorry, Tiffany. These are my other two sons,
Fred and George, very annoying, the two of them.” Mrs. Weasley told her.
Unfortunately for Hermione, the only seat left was in between
the Weasley twins. They were very persistent to keep her in a Hermione Sandwich.
“Well, I think we should be off to St. Mungos. Mad-Eye?
Tonks? If you would lead the way!” said Mr. Weasley, in a fake cheery voice.
The walk to St. Mungos went extra long. No one said a word to
each other, except the occasional ‘Excuse me’ when they were walking through crowds.
“Well, here we are!” said Tonks.
They all gathered into what seemed like a small building, but
was fairly gigantic inside.
“We are here to see Ronald Weasley, what floor?”
Mr. Weasley asked a young witch behind the counter.
After she told them the floor and the room number, they all
went to find Ron.
“Ron! Oh my god!” Tiffany gasped when she entered
the room.
“Ronny, dear… are you feeling alright?” Mrs.
Weasley saw Ron, he looked very pale indeed.
“Hey… mum…” he tried to say more, but
he was still pretty woozy.
After each one of the guests gave Ron their prayers, only Harry,
Hermione, and Tiffany were left in the room.
“’Arry… wham aboun ezamz?” Ron tried.
“Well…erm, Dumbledore exused us from them. It’s
no big deal.”
“Ogay, good.”
“Ron, I’m so sorry! If I wasn’t so rude to
Draco then none of this would have happened! It’s my entire fault.” Tiffany sighed and dropped down onto a chair.
“’Tiffany… no, it’z snot your fault.”
“Yes it is!”
“Tiffany, you can say it’s your fault but it’s
not true,” Hermione began, “What Draco did wasn’t because you were rude to him! Please don’t feel
bad. And besides, the Crucadas Curse usually doesn’t do much harm afterwards. This is something that rarely happens.
Just please don’t feel bad.” A single tear escaped Hermione’s eye.
“Goodbye, Ron… I need to go.” Tiffany left
to join Ginny in the hallway.
“See ya, Mate. We’ll be back tomorrow.” Harry
patted Ron on the knee and exited also.
Hermione doubted that Ron was conscious during Harry’s
and Tiffany’s departure.
“Goodbye…” with that, Hermione bent over and
kissed Ron.
“’Tiffany?” Ron asked, coming back to consciousness.
“Hermione.”

-That night-
Harry bolted upright in his bed, scar searing his forehead.
He couldn’t think of the last time it did this, especially this year at Hogwarts. Harry had just had a terrible dream.
He saw someone… Belliatrix Lastrange. She was facing a man in a very heavy cloak.
“This is not what I WANTED! You had better get this right,
or you’ll be joining the dementors for a lovely meal.” The man’s voice sounded raspy and cool.
“Yes, my Lord. I shall return to you in success!”
replied Belliatrix.
Harry got out of his small bed and slipped on some clothes.
Harry figured it was almost morning by the looks of outside. He quietly stepped out of Ron’s door and headed downstairs.
‘This can’t be good. My scar hasn’t been acting
up at all lately! It’s just like out of no where… Voldemort must be up to something.’ He thought, massaging
his forehead.
As he entered the kitchen, Harry found George and Fred in deep
conversation. The twins didn’t hear Harry come in, so he heard some words cross.
“No, no, no, no! If we can’t get Mundungus then
Ludo says he’s out! There must be something we can do to convince him.” Fred sounded frustrated.
“I know, mate. But mum forbids us to ever talk to Dung
outside the Order.” George reminded his twin.
“Since when have we ever obeyed her koo-koo rules?!”
“That one time in second year…”
“You know what I mean, George!”
“Right, I do, but…”
“No buts! I can get in touch with Dung tonight. Mad-Eye
says he will be on the Orders watch on Harry tonight. Even though he isn’t very good on the count of what happened last
year.” Fred said with a chuckle.
“Right you are bro.”
“So tonight…”
Ahem.
“Harry! So… how long have you been standing there?”
Fred’s cheeks turned a shade of pink.
Harry smiled and shook his head. He sat down across from George
and grabbed some toast.
‘Should I tell them? They would understand…’
“Fred? George? Can I tell you something, but you swear
not to speak a word of it?” Harry asked, unsure.
The twins smiled at each other, “Of course, mate. What’s
up?”
“Well, the reason I’m up so early is because…
my scar.”
The handsome smiles faded away. “So… what’s
it mean?”
“He is making a plan, but something is going very wrong.”
Harry replied, talking about Voldemort.
* *
*
“Hello Fred, George, Harry.” The three boys had
been talking all morning when Ginny came down.
“Good morning, sis.”
“How long have you three been awake?” Asked the
girl.
“Ummm, I’d say about 4 hours. Harry came down about
an hour and a half ago.” George told her.
Ginny rolled her eyes and helped herself to some toast. “I’m
not going to have to tell mum about this, am I?”
“Of course not!” the twins cried together.
Harry chuckled. “I’m going to go see if Hermione
is up.”
“Oh great. I had forgotten all about Voldemort this year.
And now he’s making a plan! What plan!?” Hermione was getting nervous.
“Hermione! Hermione, calm down a bit! Remember, he was
mad because his plan wasn’t working. So there isn’t anything to worry
about… yet.” Harry’s eyes dropped to his feet.
“Harry… does tiffany know about Voldemort? I mean,
that we fight him off almost every year?” Hermione asked, eyes wide.
Harry cursed to himself. No, they hadn’t told Tiffany
about Voldemort.
“Harry…?”
“I’ll be right back.” He let out a big sigh.
* *
*
“Wait! Don’t come in!” Tiffany screeched when
she heard a knock at her door. She had been right in the middle of changing her clothes. “I’m—I’m
not dressed! Don’t come in!”
“Okay, okay! I heard you.” Harry laughed.
Tiffany slipped on her shirt and opened the door.
“Is it safe?” Harry joked, covering his eyes.
“Oh, get out!” Tiffany laughed, swatting Harry on
his shoulder. “What is so important that it couldn’t wait until I got dressed?”
“Right…” Harry’s heart sank. He did
not her to hear he was about to tell her. “I have to talk to you, about…” he paused.
“About…what?”
“Voldemort.”
“Okay…” Tiffany replied, unsure of where this
was going.
“Every year, it’s like Hermione, Ron and I always
go into combat with Voldemort. It’s like we can’t help it! I’ve escaped every year so far, lucky not getting
hurt. All of those years, I’ve had a warning of when he is angry or happy through my scar. I’ve also had dreams
about what he is doing at the exact moment.” Harry told her. Tiffany started to get scared. “It just so happens
that last night, I had a dream. Voldemort had a plan, but it didn’t work. He was really angry; I can tell that from
my scar. Now he and his Death Eaters are trying again. I don’t know what the plan is… but it’s something
big, I can feel it.”
“So… this means that, your going to see him again?
This year? Are you going to have to fight him?!” She looked around the room, scared that Voldemort was going to pop
out.
“There is also something else I should tell you.”
Harry informed Tiffany about the prophecy that was made, and
how neither can live while the other survives.
“One of you has to die? That’s insane!” Tiffany
jumped up in protest.
“There is nothing we can do about it, Tiff.”
The weeks passed quickly at the Burrow. Visits to St. Mungos
were made and Ron seems to be getting healthier. It was the week of Christmas and everyone was in a jolly mood, all except
Harry.
He had more and more dreams about Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
So far, he’s learned that Voldemort is trying to destroy someone, a grown man. Fortunately he figured out that they
weren’t talking about him.
“I thought he died! He was supposed to die that night
at the Ministry of Magic!” Voldemort yelled one night. “Kill him! Before my dear Potter finds out he is alive!”
“So it was someone who was at the Ministry last year.”
Harry informed Hermione, Tiffany, Ginny and the twins. They wanted to know what was happening also. “And he doesn’t
want me to know he is still alive.”
“Who could he be talking about? I don’t remember
any one dying!” Hermione had a confused look on her face.
